Is Calverton Academy registered and accredited?
Calverton Academy is being registered as a private school in Florida, and will then apply for Cognia accreditation. Our current status is always shown at the bottom of every page. We never claim registration or accreditation before it is granted. Until enrollment opens, applications join our founding waiting list and no tuition is charged.
Will my country recognize the diploma?
It depends on each country. U.S. universities review the transcript and test scores. Some ministries (for example, Egypt and Saudi Arabia for local university admission) require in-person schooling, local exams or their own equivalency rules. We give you a written recognition note for your country before you enroll.
How many credits do students need to graduate?
Twenty-four credits: 4 English, 4 math, 3 science, 3 social studies, 2 world language, 1 arts, 1 health/PE and 6 electives. Students also need a GPA of at least 2.0, a senior capstone, and passing proctored finals in core courses.
Can my child transfer from a national, IGCSE or other school?
Yes. We evaluate official transcripts and convert prior years into U.S. credits. At least 6 credits and two full semesters must be completed with Calverton Academy to earn our diploma.
How do live classes work across time zones?
Classes run in three time-zone bands (Americas, Middle East/Europe, Asia). Every session is recorded for students who miss it, and attendance is recorded.
How are exams kept honest online?
Each student gets a different set of questions. Exams run in a locked, timed full-screen mode that logs tab switches and copy/paste. Finals are proctored on camera and followed by a short oral check with the teacher.
Do you prepare students for the SAT and ACT?
Yes. Counselors build a test plan with official dates and deadlines, and verified official scores are added to the transcript. Students register directly with College Board or ACT and test at official centers.
What does it cost?
Full-time grades 9–12 is $3,200 per year; K–8 is $2,400 per year; single courses are $450 per semester course. A $250 deposit reserves a seat and is credited toward tuition.
What devices do we need?
A computer with a camera and microphone and a stable internet connection. For proctored finals, a phone can serve as the second camera.
Is my child's data safe?
We collect only what the school needs, never sell data, follow U.S. children's privacy rules (COPPA) and FERPA principles, and give parents access to their child's records. See our Privacy Policy.
